Just so you know, the views here are my own.

Hi, I’m Halil, a software engineer living in Istanbul, Türkiye. I’ve spent over a decade building the quiet, behind-the-scenes systems that keep services running, across a handful of languages and a lot of very different problems. I started tinkering with computers early and found my way into the Turkish Linux community back in the mid-2000s, then went on to study Computer Science, graduating in 2011. I’ve been happily learning in the open ever since.

Away from the keyboard, I play the diatonic accordion and have been sharing that journey on YouTube since 2010, every clumsy take and every small breakthrough along the way. I also love photography, from landscapes to whatever happens to catch my eye; you’ll find some of it in the gallery. Music and a good view are the things that keep me grounded.

This little corner of the web is where I write about my projects and whatever I happen to be curious about. Thanks for stopping by, and if you play accordion or take photos too, I’d genuinely love to hear from you. 🪗
